The .22 LR SV-99 sniper rifle was developed as a precision small-caliber weapon for special forces snipers to silently engage enemy personnel and other targets at ranges up to 100 meters, as well as for training purposes.

The rifle features a reliable straight-pull bolt.

It is very accurate thanks to a free-floating barrel with an optional sound and flash suppressor, reliable polymer stock with a removable skeletonized buttstock, pistol grip, adjustable heel and cheek riser, and folding bipods.

The receiver has a Picatinny rail for installing scopes.
