The company has extensive experience in the design and serial production of implantable pacemakers, programmers and bipolar electrodes. With its modern high-tech equipment and highly competent personnel, the plant boasts over 30 years of experience in the manufacture of medical appliances.
BIP-11-IMZ (straight version), BIP-12-IMZ (J-shaped version) endocardial permanent bipolar electrodes for implantable pacemakers are designed for permanent cardiac stimulation together with implantable pacemakers with IS-1 type connector section in accordance with ISO 5841-3 standard.
Structurally, the electrode is a wire consisting of two spiral conductors arranged coaxially and insulated with silicone rubber. The wire is made from CoCrNi alloy. One of the conductors is connected to the cathode and the lead, and the other is connected to the anode and the anode contact of the same connector.
The contact working electrodes (cathode, anode) serve for direct transmission of electric impulses to the stimulated area of the heart.
The cathode electrode is made of titanium with an iridium oxide coating. Its surface is of fractal structure with a surface area of 6 sq.mm.
The anode electrode is made of titanium with an iridium oxide coating with a surface area of 56 sq.mm.
Dexamethasone-based steroid is applied in a recess at the top of the cathode, the amount of dexamethasone not exceeding 0.75 mg.
