Sergei Shoygu, the Russian defense minister, visited the Kalashnikov Concern on a working trip. He examined the manufacture of serial military products in accordance with the state defense order.
The most recent automatic and sniper rifle designs, as well as Kalashnikov's high-precision munitions and anti-aircraft guided missiles, were displayed to the defense minister.
The Minister was introduced to the automated barrel forging complex and the assembly shop's operations.
The Minister was briefed by Vladimir Lepin, General Director of Kalashnikov Concern JSC, on the fulfilment of the 2022 state defense order for small arms and high-precision munitions.
The Minister noted that the state defense order to be fulfilled by the Concern will be substantially increased in the upcoming year. Vladimir Lepin assured the Minister that all tasks would be completed in full.
