AK: Nonfiction Stories. Sergey Sharapov

"A Kalashnikov rifle can help you get out of any hopeless situation." Three stories of amazing deliverance from a combat veteran

Reserve Guards lieutenant colonel Sergey Sharapov talks about his experience with a Kalashnikov rifle in the new episode. He was first introduced to AKs as a schoolboy, like many servicemen, and was issued his first rifle upon enrolling at a military school. The veteran has particularly cherished the tradition of handing weapons to new recruits ever since. Nearly every rifle has an illustrious story that a young soldier should preserve and add to.
Watch the new Nonfiction Stories story to find out:

  • how a Kalashnikov rifle can help one escape an ice hole when force-crossing a mountain river,
  • how to break your fall with an AK when rolling down a mountainside.
