Underbarrel grenade launchers are an effective way to bolster the firepower of individual soldiers and small units, allowing them to engage individual and group targets at ranges up to 400 meters. The GP-34 grenade launcher was designed in Izhevsk to be mounted on modern Kalashnikov rifles and other small arms. Its advantage over the predecessors is a more reliable trigger mechanism.
