We decided to check which parts are absolutely vital for it to still be able to shoot and hit the mark. 

As you may know, some parts only serve the purpose of improving the ergonomics, such as the buttstock, the grip, or the handguard. Others add extra features: the magazine gives you extra shots; the trigger mechanism allows choosing between single-shot and automatic modes; the recoil assembly, bolt carrier, and gas piston make it auto-loading.

We'll take away some parts. Note that we won't be able to remove some of them here, such as the front sight block or the gas block, which in no way will affect our test.
