The AKV-521 allows owners to keep what is legally a single gun but with barrels in different calibers. This is made possible through the use of uppers combining a barrel, a bolt carrier, and a receiver. Earlier, we introduced the 7.62x39 model. You can see the video here.

The new episode in the Capabilities series covers two new AKV-521 versions chambered in 5.45x39 and .223 Rem. While similar in magazine capacity (10 rounds), they differ in weight, barrel length, and overall length:

• Overall length: 862 mm

• Barrel length: 341 mm
