"During my two years at the helm of the Kalashnikov Group, the team developed and began implementing a medium-term sustainable growth strategy. We have successfully implemented the best business system practices at our facilities. Even in a pandemic, we have managed to meet all our obligations to customers. The foundation for the Group to build off has been formed. An important stage has been completed, and I decided to move on. I gave seven years to Kalashnikov, and it will forever remain in my heart."
The Board of Directors decided to appoint Vladimir Lepin the new General Director. Mr. Lepin previously headed NPK Techmash JSC and A.N. Ganichev NPO SPLAV JSC. He also served as the Chief Design Officer at TsNIITochMash JSC.
"This is certainly a new page in the story of the Kalashnikov Group, and I do understand the main challenges we are facing. One of these is increasing the product development process efficiency by putting the results of our R&D work into serial production. Of course, we also have to maintain the pace of fulfilling government defense procurement orders. Our priorities do and will continue to include interacting with our public-sector customers, expanding our export contract portfolio, as well as establishing joint production of civil and military products abroad."
