Kalashnikov Concern Discusses Development of New-Generation Legioner Battle Gear

The main subject of discussion at the scientific and technical council held at Kalashnikov Concern was the development of the engagement system as part of the new-generation Legioner Battle Gear.

Representatives from the top Russian firearms manufacturing enterprises, including Kalashnikov Concern JSC, TsNIITochMash JSC, Molot-Oruzhie LLC, ZID JSC and Izhevsk Mechanical Plant JSC, as well as Kalashnikov IzhSTU, were present at the event.

Under the direction of Vladimir Lepin, Director General of Kalashnikov Concern JSC, the STC examined the current and promising technical and technological solutions required to implement the "Concept for the Development of Battle Gear for Military Personnel." All NTC participants, including invited veteran designers Nikolay Bezborodov, Yuriy Shirobokov, Vladimir Budanov, and Vladimir Yarygin, voiced their opinions.

"Every effort must be made in order to fulfill the state defense order and set up the manufacture of new products in the small arms sector, seeing as Kalashnikov Group plays a significant role in ensuring Russia's security," Vladimir Lepin, Director General of Kalashnikov Concern JSC, stated.

A concept of the development process for new battle gear for military personnel in regard to small arms complexes will be created based on the outcomes of the STC meeting.
