Kalashnikov will showcase its newest civilian firearm, the MP-155 Ultima smart shotgun, at IDEX 2021, the largest military forum in the Middle East, to be held from February 21 to 25 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

It is Russia's first smart gun. It was unveiled at the Army 2020 forum. The gun, based on the ever-reliable classic MP-155 hunting semi-auto, is designed to meet the requirements of progressive users.

The Ultima's entry into the gun market can be compared to the introduction of a new iPhone model. Our new smart shotgun boasts a futuristic design, can be synchronized with gadgets, and is purposely designed for avid users of electronic devices. The market has not seen a weapon like that yet,” claimed Dmitry Tarasov, CEO of the Kalashnikov Group.

The MP-155 Ultima is a modular gun, which allows the owner to customize the product to meet his needs. The external trim of the gun is made of B95T alloy and high-tech polymers. The shotgun, equipped with a camera, is capable of recording and broadcasting video in Full HD format. It features a digital display with a clock, compass, stopwatch, timer, shot counter, and remaining ammo indicator. The adjustable buttstock houses a computer.
