Kalashnikov Group will present a production version of the latest MP-155 Ultima smart shotgun at the Army 2021 international military and technical forum. The new gun is already available for preordering at Kalashnikov Market.
"At the Army-2021 forum, we will present the production version of the MP-155 Ultima smart shotgun. Over the past year, its on-board computing unit has been drastically redesigned, now using the Android OS. The design has also been adapted to allow the gun to be used without a buttstock, with a pistol grip only," said Valentin Vlasenko, director of the Kalashnikov Group Civilian Small Arms Design Center.
The MP-155 Ultima was first presented a year ago at the Army 2020 forum. In February 2021, its world premiere took place at the IDEX 2021 exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
The gun, based on the ever-reliable classic MP-155 hunting semi-auto, is designed to meet the requirements of modern users. Boasting futuristic looks and an Android-based onboard computing unit, the Ultima is geared toward avid users of digital devices.
The MP-155 Ultima is a modular gun, allowing the owner to customize it to meet his particular needs. The external trim of the gun is made of aviation-grade aluminum alloy and high-tech polymers. The gun's onboard computing unit has a digital display with a clock, compass, stopwatch, timer, shot counter, and remaining ammo indicator.
The gun takes 12/70-gauge rounds and has a magazine capacity of 7+1 rounds. Barrel length: 510 mm; overall length: 810/1,020 mm; weight: 4.2 kg.
