Vladimir Yarygin will oversee the launch of batch production of the 6P72 Udav pistol, as well as the interaction with the developer's design services and control of its manufacturing processes at the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant. The veteran designer will also be involved in the development of new military and civilian weapon models, as well as new air gun systems.

	Vladimir Yarygin, Honored Designer of the Russian Federation, Leading Design Engineer of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, Honorary Citizen of the Udmurt Republic and the City of Izhevsk, worked at IMZ's design department from 1973 to 2020. He designed free (IZh-34) and standard (IZh-35) semi-automatic 5.6 mm sporting pistols, put into production in 1979. These weapons were further enhanced and designated as IZh-34M and IZh-35M in 1981, based on the experience amassed by the USSR national team, as well as by shooters from Dynamo and CSKA. He also led the projects to design a series of pistols based on Margolin MTsM-1: Margo and MP-439 (for novice shooters), 6P36, Izh-77-8 and Izh-77-7,6 gas pistols, as well as the 6P37 and Izh-78-7,6, based on the PSM pattern.


	In 1992, Vladimir Yarygin entered the Grach R&amp;D competition, starting work on the 6P35 pistol. The Russian Army adopted it in 2003 as the Yarygin 9-mm pistol (PYa). 16 combat and civilian weapon models following on the 6P35 pattern were developed under his direction.


	Vladimir Yarygin holds 27 inventor's certificates and patents for his innovations and industrial designs.

Kalashnikov Concern has begun selling the MP-155T single-shot gun, chambered in 12/76 gauge. The gun satisfies the requirements of Federal Law No. 150, dated December 13, 1996, "On Weapons," as well as the amendments thereto that went into effect on June 29, 2022 (for the first two years since obtaining their license, hunters may only possess smoothbore guns with no more than two barrels and no magazine or drum).


	The new shotgun is based on the MP-155, Russia's hit semi-automatic smoothbore shotgun. The sole difference between the MP-155 and the MP-155T is that the new offering only holds a single cartridge. The MP-155's ergonomics are also fully preserved in the new model for novice hunters. These include the option to adjust the cast and comb height with the use of inserts, the recoil-reducing butt heel-mounted shock absorber, and the mount for various sights. The gun features a last round bolt hold-open mechanism, which helps speed up reloading.


	The MP-155T shotgun's first batch features a plastic stock and buttstock. In the future, models with a wooden and camo-painted plastic fore-end and stock, as well as other options popular among new hunters, will be released.


	The product has already completed trials and has been issued a certificate of conformity No. RU.C-RU.АЯ.B.01117/23 dated January 31, 2023, allowing sales in Russia. 
	 Even in the face of tightening legal restrictions, Kalashnikov keeps expanding the range of weapons that new hunters can use. The MP-155T shotgun is the fourth beginner-friendly model the Concern released. The traditional MP-18 (single-barrel), MP-27 (double-barrel, over/under), and MP-43 (double-barrel, side-by-side) guns also comply with the new requirements.&nbsp;


	IMZ has been manufacturing the MP-155 shotgun since 2012. This shotgun with reliable gas-operated action takes a wide range of 12-gauge cartridges and makes for a versatile weapon for hunting any kind of game. Thanks to its dependability, excellent performance, and ergonomics, this model quickly became a hit among experienced hunters. The MP-155, chambered in 12/76 gauge, is available with 710-mm and 750-mm-long barrels.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree to award Andrey Chukavin, head of Kalashnikov Concern's Sniper Weapons Design Bureau, the Order of Alexander Nevsky for his significant contribution to strengthening the country's defence, creation and development of new weapon models, and many years of diligent work. The official decoration ceremony took place in Moscow. Sergey Chemezov, Rostec Corporation CEO and the Russian Engineering Union chairman, commended Andrey Chukavin and the Kalashnikov Concern Design and Technology Center on their work on the Chukavin Sniper Rifle (SVCh) that had been in development since 2016. It passed state trials and was put into batch production by Kalashnikov Concern JSC under the Russian Ministry of Defense's order in 2023. The new weapon is regarded as the successor to the Dragunov sniper rifle, which has served the Russian army well for over 60 years.

Kalashnikov Concern announces the launch of <a href="https://neverforget.ru/" target="_blank">Never Forget</a>, a multimedia patriotic project implemented in collaboration with the Russian Military Historical Society. It includes a web portal with a multimedia map of the locations of monuments to Soviet soldiers (both those that have already vanished and those that are about to be demolished), articles and research materials about the historical significance of each monument, and 3D virtual memorials for monuments that were vandalized and razed in Europe.


	Approximately 3,000 memorials to Soviet soldiers were demolished across Europe. Currently, the project database has data on 80 monuments. The work will continue. All people interested in safeguarding historical memory are invited to participate in the project's development by Kalashnikov Concern. Everyone can contribute to the project by providing documents, both historical and modern, photos, and videos.


	The project's goal is to provide the public with the most comprehensive documentary information about the monuments to Soviet liberator soldiers erected in European countries by using interactive tools.

A book titled "100 Biggest Inventions by TsNIITochMash" was released by the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering on the eve of its 79th anniversary.


	100 of the institute's employees' 3,400 disclosed patent inventions are described in it. A modern system of general-use, underwater, and special-purpose small arms, ammunition, artillery pieces, and other weaponry, as well as military personnel equipment, was developed through the enterprise's specialists' comprehensive research efforts. Over the course of nearly 80 years of operation, TsNIITochMash has put over 250 designs of weapons, ammo, and military gear it developed into mass production. More than 40 countries have imported weapons developed at Klimovsk.


	The projects chosen for the book are truly very significant. Many of them paved the way for fresh developments in the field of gunsmithing, and some no one has been able to copy even after 20-30 years.


	"Gunsmithing is an Art" is TsNIITochMash's motto. The creation of new weapons and ammunition was indeed elevated to the level of engineering and design art at the institute, where inspiration, technical ingenuity, and exact calculation became the pillars. Izhevsk Mechanical Plant JSC (IMZ) is a sponsor of the Festival for All-Russian Ready for Work and Defence Sports to take place in Izhevsk on May 12 to 17, 2023.&nbsp;


	Being the leading manufacturer of air guns, the company provided the competition hosts with MR-555K air rifles with a diopter sight for the shooting stage, as well as prizes for its winners.


	The MR-555K air rifle with a pre-charged high pressure air cylinder is intended for practice and recreational shooting. It features improved ergonomics, such as a trigger mechanism with adjustable pull weight and slack, ergonomic stock, buttstock with adjustable length, and an adjustable diopter sight. Its muzzle energy is up to 7.5 Joules, and the removable high pressure air reservoir provides up to 100 shots with one charge.


	MR-512S air rifles, are also popular among shooting enthusiasts, will serve as the prize.

Kalashnikov Concern JSC increased its arms manufacturing by 38% in Q1 2023. The number of items shipped has reached a record high for the last 10 years.


	Equipment utilization rate has increased by 8% compared to the same period in 2022.


	The plant continued full-scale mass manufacturing of new products: the PPK-20 submachine gun and TR9S (Izh-2102) and TG2S (Izh-224) shotguns.


	"We can say with satisfaction that the tasks to increase the output under the State Defense Procurement Order that the President and Minister of Defense set for the Concern last year are being implemented in full. This applies not only to small arms, but also to many other products.
